Included Screws
Every knob and pull includes two screw options:
- 1" screw for standard cabinet doors and some drawers
- 1 ¾" breakaway screw for thicker materials, adjustable to your needs.

Understanding Cabinet Hinges
There are three main types of cabinet hinges commonly used in kitchen and furniture design:
- Full Overlay Hinges
These hinges allow the cabinet door to completely cover the cabinet frame, creating a sleek, modern look with minimal gaps between doors. Available in soft-close and self-close options, full overlay hinges are ideal for contemporary cabinetry. - Half Overlay Hinges
Half overlay hinges allow the door to cover only part of the frame, leaving a visible gap between adjacent doors. A common variation is the 1/2-inch overlay, where the door overlaps the frame by half an inch. These are typically used in face-frame cabinets. Standard overlays: 1/4", 1/2", 3/4", and 1-1/4". - Inset Hinges
Inset hinges let the door sit flush inside the cabinet frame, offering a clean, traditional appearance. Often called butt hinges, they are common in custom cabinetry and are usually visible when the door is open.
How to Measure for Hinges
To ensure the right fit, key measurements include:
- Overlay – How much the door overlaps the cabinet frame.
Tape method: Mark the edge of the door and frame on masking tape, then measure between the marks. - Cup Depth – The circular hole in the door where the hinge is mounted.
- Common size: 35mm, though some are 40mm.
- Use a tape measure once the hinge is removed.
- Mounting Plate Type
- Clip-on or Slide-on, referring to how the hinge connects to the mounting plate inside the cabinet.
- Additional Details
- Opening angle (typically 95°–170°)
- Hinge length and width
- Corner radius
- Soft-close mechanism (if applicable)
Tips for Replacements
- Remove and inspect the existing hinge for accurate measurement.
- Look for manufacturer markings for specs.
